Sketches & Spiritual Thoughts
About
My name is Toronto Sketches. If you've made it this far, you can probably tell that sketching has been one of my favorite hobbies for as long as I can remember. I also enjoy sharing occasional spiritual thoughts as my religious upbringing has played an enormously important role in my life.
The fun thing about this hobby is that there is always room for improvement! I don't mind posting imperfect sketches because few things in life are ever perfect. You can learn a lot from your mistakes, and it's fun to look back on older, mistake-filled sketches and compare them to the progress made in recent months.

My view on sketching mistakes is similar to my view on life: we're going to constantly mess-up and make mistakes, but it's thrilling to see our personal progress with each passing day, month, and year. I guess that's why this website combines artwork and religious thoughts -- both require a lifelong journey of practice, repetition, learning, improving, making mistakes, and trying again.

I was born and raised in a small suburb town just north of Salt Lake City, Utah. I'm currently based in San Diego, California, and am married to the most magnificent wife in the world. I work as a financial associate at an investment bank. My long-term life dream is to retire from business and teach art at a local high school or middle school and be the assistant basketball coach (if I had to rank, I think basketball and sketching are tied neck-and-neck for my favorite hobbies).
Thanks for visiting the site! If there's anything that you'd like to share with me, I'd love to hear from you. You can contact me below.
